Blogmas Day 1: Red & green

Today I’m thrilled to announce the launch of my first ever BLOGMAS!  Ingrid of Curly.Spring.Blossom came up with this idea and asked if I’d be interested! So, Ingrid, Kaily of hi Kaily, Sharon of Sharon charm Prime and myself (we’re calling ourselves the Babes in Blogland) will be posting 25 consecutive days for the holiday season.  Our Blogmas will be mainly focused charm topics with a Christmas spin.  Every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday all 4 of us will be posting about the same topic, so be sure to check out each of our take on the topic du jour!

Our topic today is RED & green stuff (or Red & green sh!t as the stylish Kaily called it). I’m interpreting this topic as a showcase of red and green makeup items from my stash.

It would have been a bit of a cop-out to just feature nail polishes so I did make an effort to include actual makeup stuff.

Eyes – if you know me, you’d know that I’m a neutral kind of person when it concerns eye shadows, so it’s no surprise that I don’t have a lot of crazy coloured eye shadows.

• NYX single Eyeshadow Lime green ES31 (the pan broke so it’s in loose form)
• Sephora + Pantone universe Elemental color Grid shadow block in emerald Shimmer, Pantone 17-5641
• Vasanti Silky Eye shadow Duo in mount Olympus (green shade)
• Lancome color design Eye Brightening All-In-One five shadow & liner palette in emerald Boudoir 501 (crease shade in the middle)
• Sephora Jumbo liner 12HR wear Kaki 05 (yes the word “khaki” is spelled without the “h” on this product for some reason)

Lips – no green lipsticks sadly so here are a few reds that I think look festive:

• Elizabeth Arden color Intrigue effects Lipstick Poppy Cream
• Clarins Rouge Prodige fusion Red
• Maybelline very stay 14 hr Ravishing Rouge 065
• Clinique Chubby Stick intense Mightiest Maraschino
• Revlon ColorBurst Lipgloss fire (I literally just removed the seal on this – never even worn!)

Nails – I own quite a number of reds but not numerous greens. I’ve selected the ones that I think look the most Christmas-y:

• Butter London Knees Up
• Avon Nailwear pro Ruby Slipper
• Illamasqua Untold
• color Club Berry and Bright
• color Club Ho-Ho-Holly (these 2 CCs were from a Christmas set!)
• color Blast by Orly fantastic Sky

And this is the beautiful festive look you can achieve rocking green eye makeup and red lips

What are some of your preferred festive red & green makeup items?

Be sure to check out the rest of the Babes in Blogland for their messages on Red & green stuff:

Blogmas 2016: The Christmas charm TagEven though I chose to do a shortened Blogmas this year, I was quite challenged as to what topics to write about, because last year’s Blogmas pretty much covered all the major Christmassy topics like Christmas music, movies, gift ideas, etc. So I was thrilled when I found this tag…

Blogmas Day 2: unsightly Christmas sweatersIt’s a fun one for Day 2 of Blogmas!  Let’s talk about unsightly Christmas sweaters. 😀 These are real sweaters found at Sears: They were just mixed amongst the regular ladies’ wear – I’m honestly not sure if they were being ironic or these are sincere Christmas sweaters. 😆 I…

Blogmas Day 5: real or Fake?Real or Fake… Christmas trees, that is! 😉 Some people are diehard real Christmas tree devotees. Others aren’t so fussed. There are pros and cons to both. I’m rather easy myself… I have a Charlie brown Christmas tree! 😛 I got this a few years back for $15 and we’ve…
